In my April update, I talked about hiking out of Idyllwild
with friend Teresa, and that next time
I would take a camera. Well, we went back, I left some more
ojos on consignment at Idyllwild stores, and if u want to see
some pictures of Teresa on the Devil's Slide Trail out of Idyllwild,

Spending time with Teresa, somtimes just the two of us, sometimes
with other friends, has been a lot of fun the last two months,
but it seems to be a period of my life coming to an end. Teresa
is now concentrating on developing her life as a caricature artist,
and I don't think I will be seeing her nearly as much as I was,
or would like to. Oh well, time to move on. For more pictures
of times I spent with Teresa,

I've been trying to develop a market for my Ojo's de Dios, but with not much luck. Here is my display at the same street fair where Teresa stayed busy all day doing her caricatures on a donation basis.
The big sale of the day was this nice 36 inch ojo that friend Luana bought for her husband DJ.

As I write this update, on June 1, I am pretty well swamped with sign work, and will likely have a hard time delivering on schedule. I was planning on closing down here about this time, but now plan to put my belongings into storage and head for the Sierra and Washington State in early July. Abel is helping me more every day, and I am also hiring my friend Ted some. My plan now is to return here in September, and move to Twentynine Palms, possibly renting space for a sign shop. How things fall out in marketing my ojos could alter that plan considerably though.
In the last few days Joshua Tree National Park has had its biggest fires ever, covering over 20 square miles! The rangers said that much of the area hadn't burned in 600 years. Just a few minutes of lightning strikes last Thursday started he flames. We have sure been the land of *Shake n Bake* again: two weeks ago we had a 5.0 aftershock of the 1992 Landers earthquake.
My health has been slowly improving, using natural supplements prescribed by my holistic doctor in Palm Springs. As I put in my April update, she has an extensive web site, at www.thewayup.com.
I still chat daily using *The Palace* software, mostly with my friend *Maggie* a Japanese/Brazilian college student. She is planning on a trip to Japan and California in October, as part of her graduation celebration. I'll keep you updated!
