Rock House at Eagle Cliff Mine, Joshua Tree National Park

Not much is known about who lived here, but they left a lot behind

encluding this exquisitly beautiful little house, built into an already ample rock shelter. Nearby are a couple of mine holes, and the foundation of what seems to be a blacksmith's forge. It's all in the hills above Desert Queen Mine, and is most commonly gotten to from Split Rock, where the route is turning more into a trail from steady use every year.
