Its mostly summer when I get to spend time with my boys who live with
their mom in Washington State. In the summer of '96, I was fortunate enough
to take Kevin and Corey on a trip through Idaho and Montana, with stops
at several parks and lakes along the way. These two are now 13 and 15 years
old.
Kevin, the slow one to develop physically, is never-the-less a fine athelete,
running cross-crountry. By far the most talkative of the boys, he also has
a natural talent for acting, and is always reading a book, somewhat like
his multi-talented older brother Abel in these ways. Kevin, however, unlike
Abel, has always taken school very seriously, and maintains high grades.
Especially when younger, Kevin had by far the most robust constitution of
the boys, and rarely got sick for more than half a day. There was one streak
in grade school where he went about three and a half years with out missing
a single day of school!
Corey is simply the world's sweetest kid! How he came to be, no one knows,
but his only goal in life seems to be to please everyone. Sharp and fun
to be around, he always makes friends easily. If you aren't charmed by Corey,
it can only be that you haven't met him!
Both Kevin and Corey are very sweet to their little sisters Ana and Alise,
showering much attention on them, playing with them for hours at a time.
Such wonderful big brothers two little girls rarely have. Its fun to see
the little girls squealing with delight after I bring Kevin and Corey back
from a summer vacation trip.
Most simply put, these two close brothers are the two people in the world
that I most enjoy spending my time with. Hopefully this coming summer we'll
get to have a great vacation together.
